The Mojave desert is a place of juxtapositions, movement, and deep time. Many fault lines run through the desert, and while researching the geology of the area, I grew more aware of how the dynamic movements of faults shape the surface landscape. "Fault Lines" is my tribute to the movement that happens deep below our feet. (The grey lines in the lower area are drawn from maps of fault lines in the area.)
